Irans not the country the news would have you believe. Iranians are not conservative, and photos of the country in the 1970s look hardly different from any European country today with girls in miniskirts and men and women hanging out in the park together. Nor is Iran today just a hot and dry country full of mosques - Iran can be gloomy, chilly, covered in snow, foggy, fresh, sublime.
